Monte Carlo Stars caters to 'eatertainment' demand
Monte Carlo Stars, a new dining destination looking to capitalise on the growing ‘eatertainment’ trend, has reported a positive response to its soft opening in Dubai Marina.
Aiming to be an entertainment-centric dining destination, with an emphasis on fun and interaction, it claims to be the only attraction in the UAE that features individually-controlled TVs in the booths. It also offers specialty sports channels, customised football dining tables and music.
According to Monte Carlo Stars, ‘eatertainment’ targets consumers who want to spoil themselves through memorable experiences that focus on the emotional needs of individuals.
“With an increasingly competitive market and savvy consumers, food is no longer enough,” said Monte Carlo Stars general manager Ibrahim Sheikh.
“Families are also a growing market segment in Dubai and we have incorporated their distinct needs in the design of Monte Carlo Stars. With our custom family friendly design such as a supervised play area with ball pit and climbing wall, an arcade, and our Friday Family Fun Day Activities, children and families remain a major focus.”
The menu at Monte Carlo Stars includes a wide variety of Mediterranean and international dishes as well as steaks and fresh seafood.
Its emphasis on ‘eatertainment’ will see activities and events throughout the year, including brunches, themed party and birthday party packages, open mic and quiz nights, featured sports games and community events.
Other features of the dining venue include a retractable terrace with panoramic views of the Dubai Marina and a hookah zone.
“Monte Carlo Stars is more than just a restaurant; it is a truly unique entertainment alternative for families and friends all ages,” said Sheikh.
According to international restaurant consulting firm Baum and Whiteman’s annual report, ‘eatertainment’ was predicted to be one of hottest food & beverage trends for restaurants and hotel dining in 2014.
