New 'High Tea at Sea' concept launched in Dubai
Dubai's newest F&B concept involves British high tea but with a twist. Yacht company, Xclusive Yachts, has launched a 'High Tea at Sea' concept after it got a number of requests for more day events, reports local media.
For AED150 (US $41), the yacht will carry 200 people and will ferry customers from Dubai Marina to the Burj Al Arab and back. The custom-made meal is catered by The Address Hotel in the Marina.
The idea behind the new concept came about after the leisure-services company felt there was a dearth of day-time F&B events that took place at sea.
"This cruise fills the daytime void. There's brunch, but people don't want to drink, so they prefer high tea," said Xclusive Yachts managing director Amit Patel.
But this is not the first time a high tea concept has been launched on the high seas. In 2012, guests could enjoy a 45-minute cruise on the Bateaux for AED 2075 (US $20) per person.
