Katsuya, the culinary concept from sbe's Disruptive Restaurant Group, expands its worldwide portfolio, unveiling a new outlet at The Avenues in Manama, Bahrain this month.

The new addition brings Katsuya's global footprint to 12, joining longstanding locations including Los Angeles, Las Vegas, South Beach, Dubai, Kuwait City, and The Bahamas. In addition to these openings, the brand is rapidly growing, with plans to open 15 more Katsuyas by 2020.

Speaking to Katsuya's ongoing growth, Daniel del Olmo, the recently appointed CEO of Disruptive Restaurant Group, a subsidiary of sbe, stated, "Following the incredible success of Katsuya's openings in Kuwait City and Dubai, we're excited to continue to grow our footprint in the Middle East with our strong partner M.H. Alshaya Co."

"We at Alshaya continue to be excited about our partnership growth with sbe throughout the Middle East," said Alshaya vice president of casual dining Jim Dunn.

Katsuya, The Avenues, is set to open on October 29. The restaurant has 205 seats and features panoramic views of Manama Bay with ocean-front outdoor seating.

Operating hours are Saturday-Wednesday 11am to 11pm, and Thursday-Friday 11am to 12am.
