Hotel launches restaurant in the sky
Dubai’s Habtoor Grand Resort and Spa has announced it is to add the international hit Dinner in the Sky concept to its F&B outlet portfolio.
The concept allows up to 22 guests to be hosted at a table suspended up to 50m up in the air — in this case above Jumeirah Beach, allowing them to enjoy stunning aerial views along with their meal.
The hotel’s director of food and beverage Thomas Kathmann commented: “We’re extremely happy to be able to announce Dinner in the Sky for our guests.
“It really is a unique experience and something you’ll remember for many years to come.”
The concept’s franchisors for the Middle East, Event Horizon LLC and Mindset Media, said they selected the Habtoor Grand as the venue for the Dinner in the Sky Restaurant because “it enjoys an excellent location, regularly organises successful events and hosts reputable food and beverage outlets”.
Event Horizon partner Sean Keith added: “You will need a bit of a head for heights, but almost all our guests end up really enjoying having their dinner floating high above the ground.
“You’re safely strapped into your seat, which allows everyone to enjoy the amazing views and unique atmosphere of dining in the sky.”
The Dining in the Sky concept will be launched at Habtoor Grand fromOctober 1, 2009 and run through to May 31, 2010.
