New restaurant precinct on Dubai mall scene
Mall of the Emirates has announced the inclusion of six new restaurants in its 10,500 square-metre extension, set to be completed in Q3 of 2010.
The new outlets will offer an array of cuisines from Europe, Asia, Africa and the Middle East to complement the established array of food outlets already operating at the shopping centre.
Mall of the Emirates vice president Fuad Sharaf claimed the dining area would offer "the best casual dining experience available within a shopping mall".
Three of the restaurants are making their UAE debut with flagship outlets at the mall — Al Halabi, which serves authentic Middle Eastern food; Tribe, which specialises in African cuisine; and PF Changs, the US-based Chinese restaurant franchise.
The other three outlets are Fauchon, offering contemporary French cuisine, Asha’s Indian restaurant and Biella, the Italian restaurant brand, which will relocate from its existing position on the first floor to take advantage of the new indoor plaza setting.
The new food area will span approximately 3400m² on the ground level.
Sharaf commented: “The new F&B outlets are perfectly suited to the occasion.
"The Italian piazza-style setting combined with the quality and variety of cuisine on offer is something unique to the dining sector, especially in new Dubai."
With natural light coming in from the dome above, the new restaurants will be arranged around a central two-tier hand carved marble fountain feature.
