Serving Turkish cuisine but born in Dubai, Bosporus is set to open its first European restaurant in London’s Leicester Square this month.
Started in Dubai in 2010 by GCS, Bosporus has six venues in the Emirate plus locations in Abu Dhabi and Egypt.
Customers visiting the new London outlet will get the brand’s signature take on Turkish cuisine, set in a spacious interior that reflects the country’s architecture and culture with a contemporary twist.
Specialities include the ali nazik kebab, a smoky aubergine dip mixed with yogurt and topped with minced lamb, sehriye, a slow-cooked succulent chicken soup with vermicelli rice, tomato, and a touch of cumin, or sarma baklava, authentic Turkish baklava made with handmade filo pastry, melted sugar, and pistachio.
Available for eat in and takeaway, it’s the latest Dubai-born Turkish import to head to London, with Colin Clague’s Ruya also making the move in 2018.
