Amaseena's team spirit rewarded at Caterer Awards 2018

The title of Restaurant Team of the Year - Hotel-Managed Outlet was awarded to Amaseena at The Ritz-Carlton, Dubai at the Caterer Middle East Awards 2018.

A&T Group Interiors CEO and co-founder Tareq Khalafawi presented the award to the elated team on May 9 during the gala ceremony. The category comprised a total of six shortlisted teams, and the highly commended restaurant was Armani/Amal from Armani Hotel Dubai.


Judges picked Amaseena's team for its intense focus on service and the empowering way in which the team focuses on making guests’ dreams come true - this has kept loyal guests returning through the years.

Amaseena restaurant manager Robin Sawlani told Caterer Middle East the reason for this is the "authenticity, team, passion that we all share".

He added: "In Ritz-Carlton we believe in our motto, which is ladies and gentlemen serving ladies and gentlemen. We trust in each and every individual to deliver that level of service. We promote them and bring up to a level that we want, they succeed and we succeed."

Despite being open for more than 15 years, the team seeks to introduce new elements, be it in the menu or themes, every year. The restaurant highlights flavours from across the region, from North Africa and throughout the Middle East, with a combination of buffet and live stations seven days a week. The restaurant's oriental chef Rami Almaket said: "At Amaseena, every year we try to create different things; we go back and experiment with culture, cooking skills and going back to the roots in general. To elaborate, we have explored underground and claypot cooking and that’s what the guests like to come and experience with the different kinds of flavours it produces. So we start in Morocco and end with Iranian cooking practices and foods."
