Restaurant manager at the helm of Bombay Brasserie gets Caterer Awards nod
Bombay Brasserie's Sachin Hasan was lauded as the Restaurant Manager of the Year 2018 at the Caterer Middle East Awards.
MMI brand manager Benneth Martin presented the award to Hasan, who won against seven other contenders, with the highly commended nominee revealed to be Badr Benryane from Ossiano, Atlantis The Palm
Hasan came from outside the hospitality industry, and then joined the industry as a trainee. Initially was rendered speechless by the win, he said that while he didn't intend to join the F&B and hospitality industry, it was the people that he met and worked with that made him stay.
He took over Bombay Brasserie two years ago, and quickly turned things around. Hasan told Caterer: "I saw that the product was great, I saw that the food quality is amazing, the staff had individual brilliance, but the [restaurant's] presence was not there." After boosting its presence on social media and review websites, he focused on team building activities and training and also exploited gaps in the market to the restaurant’s benefit.
Hasan added: "I want to take this restaurant to the next level for the overall F&B industry."
