Atlantis The Palm celebrated another victory at the Caterer Middle East Awards with Nobu picking up Restauarant Team of the Year – Hotel-Managed Outlet.

Refusing to sink under the pressure of delivering top quality under the name of a world-renowned chef, the team at Nobu posted another incredibly successful year.

Profits rose above expectations, with new records for daily revenue and number of covers in the past six months – all achieved while reducing overtime by more than 50% to allow its staff to have a better work/life balanace.

The ambassador for Nobu on the evening, Justine Nimpatarsce, said that to be a winning F&B outlet required “being unique and meeting and going above, guest expectations, as well as hiring celebrity chefs.”

The Caterer Middle East judging panel was also impressed by Nobu’s commitment to training and developing its staff, with current chef de cuisine Damien Duviau a former sous chef who rose through the ranks to earn the top job.

Team members also train in a number of different roles to emphasise the importance of working as a unit – something which shines through as the team can work together while being versatile enough to help each other out.

The team picked up the award at the JW Marriott Marquis from Les Simmon, managing director at TSSC.
