Pulsar launches new range for cost-conscious consumers
Pulsar is appealing to its price sensitive customers with a new range of products.
“We have recently launched a new range of nuts and crackers in a cost effective package for larger scale operations and quick turnover properties. As always we can offer this in a personalised pack without sacrificing quality,” said Pulsar general manager Stephen Bennett, speaking to Caterer Middle East.
This launch comes at a time when the reduction of disposable income is becoming a reality. Bennett explains: “The introduction of VAT is still one of the major talking points throughout the Emirates. Although VAT is not new to the majority of expats living in the Emirates, it is still an additional cost which people will have to adjust to. This surely will have an effect on peoples’ disposable income and will likely result in a reduction in their spending on social nights.”
Bennet expects that the matter will be discussed at the upcoming Caterer Food & Business conference: “I am sure there will be plenty of discussion on the introduction of VAT into the Emirates. I would be interested in knowing if the food and beverage industry has felt any dip in the first two trading months since it started and will there be long term implications. Also, as food and beverages outlets continue to open, is there a cause for concern with saturation in the industry and region.”
More launches are on the cards for Pulsar. Bennett concludes: “We will soon be launching two new retail brands into the region. Bennetts Snacks and olives from The Real Olive Company. Both products are expected to be launched by Q2 2018.”
Pulsar will be showcasing its products at the Caterer Food & Business conference on March 6.
