1. Emma Banks, vice president, F&B strategy & development, EMEA, Hilton.
The first lady of the Middle East’s F&B scene is one of its most recognisable figures, an image only enhanced since taking up her new global role at Hilton last year.
Responsible for F&B strategy and development in a region with 334 hotels in the pipeline and more than 650 active F&B projects, few women have as much input into our industry as Emma Banks.
As a working mother for over 20 years, Banks understands the challenges women face in the industry and has championed them through mentorships and by being an inspiring leading woman.
She has driven the conversation on equality through radio interviews and participating in the all-women Caterer Middle East Conference advisory panel. Banks has also helped Hilton walk the walk with a number of female chefs hired in Makkah for the first time last year.
