Dubai’s homegrown club Base is set for its latest venture abroad as it becomes a permanent fixture for the summer in Greece.
Party island Mykonos will host the Bulldozer Group concept, as first revealed by founder Evgeny Kuzin in his cover story interview with Caterer Middle East in May.
It follows previous international pop-up events for Base at the Monaco Formula One Grand Prix and FIFA World Cup in Moscow.
In its location by Ftelia beachfront, Base will welcome a rotation of deep-house and techno DJs to Mykonos for its six week residency.
It will open each Monday from July 15, with Sven Vath kickstarting the summer with his progressive blend of electronic music. Clubbers can also enjoy Apollonia on July 22, Guy Gerber on July 29 and August 12, Blondish on August 5, and Luciano on August 19.
Speaking about Base’s latest move, Kuzin said: “Mykonos is a diverse, exclusive hot-spot that welcomes visitors seeking a luxurious and hedonistic escape every summer. Base embodies the ethos of the region, with innovative and exciting weekly events designed to create something entirely unique. We are proud to partner with Ftelia beach, to provide the ultimate playground for the Mykonian nightlife scene, infusing the Greek isle with a bespoke nightlife experience, tailor-made for its chic clientele.”
