Binghatti Hospitality to expand Cupagahwa with US$136m investment

The company is set to open the brand in Sharjah, The Walk Jumeirah Beach Residences, and DIFC soon

Binghatti Hospitality, the hospitality arm of Binghatti Holding, opened another Cupagahwa branch in A’l Bahar Corniche in Abu Dhabi on March 22, 2018.

The café and restaurant brand will expand in the UAE and Saudi Arabia with an investment value worth more than AED 500 million (US$136m).

Binghatti Hospitality is set to open the Sharjah Cupagahwa in Sharjah’s University City, Cupagahwa JBR at The Walk Jumeirah Beach Residences, and Cupagahwa DIFC in Dubai International Financial Centre’s Gate Avenue.

The plan is to open 200 Cupagahwa branches all over the UAE and Saudi Arabia within three years, with an investment of more than AED 500 million ($136m).

This expansion will be supported by a 6000 square feet central kitchen facility which will produce the signature menu offerings for the Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Sharjah branches. Expected to open soon, this facility will include a training and development centre as well.

The Cupagahwa cafés and restaurants offer a range of local Emirati dishes such as shakshuka, balaleet, fish machboos, chicken machboos, in addition to Western-inspired dishes.
