Capital Club Dubai to host Scottish chef Tony Singh in March 2018
Dubai’s private members club, Capital Club, will see guest chef Tony Singh host a series of dinners from March 29-31, 2018.
Singh, who has been awarded an MBE and won many culinary awards throughout his career will be serving up a six-course tasting menu that will feature seasonal ingredients with a spicy Indian and Asian twist including: scallops tempered with, ginger and lime, sound of jura langoustines and wild garlic from the banks of the North Esk, oyster, beef vurha and tamarind, Punjabi salmon, chump of boarders lamb with stoives herb jus and strawberries with cinnamon and black pepper.
After training at Telford College, Singh has worked at The Royal Yacht Britannia, The Balmoral Hotel, The Royal Scotsman Train and Skibo Castle. He is now chef director at Edinburgh restaurants, Tony’s Table, Roti and Oloroso. Singh is also a TV regular in the UK making appearances on shows including Saturday Kitchen, The Great British Menu and BBC’s The One Show.
Singh said: "I like to keep food real and to keep food fun, which is exactly what I will be showing though my debut menu at Capital Club Dubai. I’m really looking forward to introducing its members and non-members to dishes that combine my signature style of fresh produce with a spicy Indian and Asian twist."
The dinners start at 7.30pm on each of the three days, and costs AED 650 (US$177), with an additional AED 350 ($95) for the wine flight.
