Desert Gate, part of the MTS Globe Network, has launched its restaurant benefits programme ‘DG Dine’ at the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) 2018. ATM was held at Dubai World Trade Centre from April 22-25.
The dining concept offers guests discounts as well as instant VIP recognition across the company’s list of restaurant partners in the UAE.
Explaining the new programme, Desert Gate group CEO Samir Tabbah said: “We looked at all touchpoints we have with our guests - from airport arrival and hotel check-in, to destination excursions and the services at our 18 hospitality desks, and our survey results showed that 89% of guests surveyed, rated gastronomy as a very important part of their travel experience."
“Our dedicated DG Dining Concierges across our 18 concierge desks, will work with guests to find and reserve the perfect dining destinations during their stay,” he added.
Group chief commercial officer Nicholas Rhodes, who has been tasked to set up the new division at Desert Gate, said it gives the company’s global partners’ guests new benefits as well as a unique selling proposition.
“It is a complete win-win for all. We have received tremendous response from both stand-alone and hotel restaurants and now have a waitlist of outlets looking to enter the program and implement our technology, which is largely driven by the potential for incremental revenue in their outlets through access to our 200.000+ incoming guests and travellers using our 18 concierge desks”, Tabbah added.
