A café and bistro inspired by perennial millennial favourite TV show Friends is now in soft launch at Arabian Courtyard Hotel & Spa in Dubai.
Cross Cultural Perks is inspired inside and out by the famous Central Perk café from the hit American sitcom which ran for ten series between 1994 and 2004.
Open 24 hours seven days a week, with a menu offering healthy options of Emirati and Western a-la-carte for breakfast. Sandwiches, salads, burgers, pastas, and kebabs are available all day long, while camel meat and Asian dishes are options for dinner.
One difference between this outlet and the Friends’ Central Perk is that Cross Cultural Perks is licensed meaning you can also enjoy cocktails alongside your coffee.
Planet Group, operator of the concept, hospitality division CEO Habib Khan said: “With the opening of Cross Cultural Café and Bistro we shall fill-in the vacuum of a quality café culture missing for a while in this area. We are very excited to open and showcase this inspired concept café to relax or recharge, build a conversation, or to get connected. We’re confident that it will complement and contribute positively to the Al Seef cultural vicinity and provide the community with not only a community-centred café but offer quality coffee but a cross-cultural dining diversity and friendly artisan atmosphere.”
Cross Cultural Perks is located across the street from the Rulers Court and Dubai Museum in Bur Dubai.
