Mahonia, the fine-dining degustation restaurant in Bahrain, is set to welcome its second top chef with Mauro Colagreco coming to the concept to host a four-hands dinner.
Colagreco is the chef patron at Mirazur which is ranked third on the World’s 50 Best Restaurants list and has three Michelin stars.
He will team up with Mahonia’s own award-winning executive chef Herve Pronzato for an eight-course menu for two nights at the end of February.
Colagreco said: “It will be my first visit to Bahrain and I look forward to cooking with chef Herve at Mahonia. My culinary approach is what I describe as ‘cooking without borders’, with menus that cross the lines between land and sea, herbs and flowers, bitterness and acidity. I look forward to discovering the flavours of Bahrain and creating an unforgettable menu with Herve in Mahonia.”
Throughout the year Mahonia will continue to host chefs from restaurants placed on the World’s 50 Best Restaurant list.
