Fresh from best restaurant success for the second time in a row at the Time Out Restaurant Awards with Il Borro Tuscan Bistro, Orange Hospitality has unveiled its latestDubai concept Alici.
The seafood restaurant is now open on Bluewaters Island and brings the Mediterranean flavours of the Amalfi Coast to Dubai.
Founder Omar Saideh said: “Alici is approachable, yet refined, and gives guests a feeling of what it’s like to dine in the vibrant landscape of South of Italy.”
The interior design of Alici is authentic Italian, with Lucio Liguori, artisan pottery and ceramic maker based in the Amalfi Coast providing the pottery.
The menu features Amalfitana and South of Italy specialties that will vary according to season and sea availability, with Domenico Santagada the head chef in charge but expect oysters from local farms, as well as red Mazara prawns, tuna, and swordfish from Italy.
Alici’s wine list exceeds 250 labels from all the world’s major wine regions including several local labels from South Italy.
Serving seafood, pizza, and meat in a relaxed atmosphere with views of the Dubai Marina from under the giant Ain wheel, Alici will hope to replicate the success of Orange Hospitality’s other Dubai venue Il Borro Tuscan Bistro.
