Ma’ Hidden Kitchen brings Italian dining experience to Dubai

The secretive supper club is returning for a one-week visit

Ma’ Hidden Kitchen, the Italian communal dining experience, is returning to Dubai for a second year at a secret location.
Following the success of last year’s event at The Maine Oyster Bar and Grill, Ma’ Hidden Kitchen will return from March 18-23 on the 39th floor of a yet to be revealed location.

Each seat at the table is priced at 350AED, where guests can indulge in five simple yet elegant courses, matched with a specially crafted drinks menu.

We spoke with the founders Emanuele “Lele” Nardoni, Melissa Arroni and head chef Stefano Ratti about what guests can expect.

Why should people come to The Italian Way presents The Supper Club: Menu 39 with Ma’ Hidden Kitchen?

Because It is an exclusive experience to celebrate hospitality and conviviality. #TheItalianWay campaign has the goal to bring the UAE a unique Italian dining experience pairing Peroni Nastro Azzurro with a 5 course menu. A place where flavors, consistencies and scents combine together to create a unique shared experience of its kind. An astonishing, never before visited location for socializing and meeting new people while tasting great food.

What can you tell us about the menu for this visit to Dubai?

The inspiration came from the location itself. We’ll be on a terrace at the 39th floor of the Intercontinental Dubai Marina. We chose 39 ingredients, one for each floor that will lead the guests to their seat.
The menu is based on Italian classic regional recipes mixing our birthplace food culture (we’re from Northern Italy) with Southern Italy and adding an international twist.

What are the differences between the Milan and international events?

Basically, just the location and the number of people, in Milan we host the events mainly in our home and for 15 guests due to limited space. But after our last year’s sell-out experience we can call Dubai home as well.

Why is Dubai ideal for this kind of event?

Because of the strong presence of people coming from every corner of the world. There’s a huge need of socializing and of places to get to know new people.

How has Ma’ Hidden Kitchen changed over the years?

We started 7 years ago, and it was just us cooking for 8 people once a week in our home. Now we work with several chefs, it’s an everyday job and we host events all over Italy and sometimes abroad. So it changed a lot. The only thing that didn’t change it’s the fun and the passion.

Why does the idea behind Ma’ Hidden Kitchen appeal to people?

Peroni Nastro Azzurro has given us the opportunity to bring like-minded people of Dubai to one communal table to share stories and bond over Menu 39. It’s not often that people are able experience bonding over the love of food with strangers and you can always find a connection with someone over eating. Espcially Italian flavours!

Will you be taking it anywhere else in the region?

Unfortunately not, but hopefully we will be soon. All future updates are released on @TheItalianWayUAE so stay tuned!
