Bulldozer Group and chef Izu Ani’s Greek-Mediterranean restaurant GAIA has opened its first permanent international location in Monte Carlo.

Located in DIFC, GAIA has been an instant success for the group, despite some early bad reviews, and is making its move to Europe, as first revealed to Caterer Middle East by Bulldozer Group co-founder and managing partner Evgeny Kuzin.

The new location in in the heart of Monaco and features a terrace with views of the surrounding mountains and sea. The menu has been designed by Ani and GAIA’s head chef Orestis Kotefas.

Kuzin said: “We developed GAIA with international expansion in mind, as we wanted to create a concept that could showcase the quality of the F&B industry in Dubai and transport this to popular regions around the world. With a collaborative approach, we combined our skills and expertise to ensure that we incorporated elements designed to please visitors from all cultures.”

Since opening in December 2018, GAIA has been visited by the likes of HRH Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Ruler of Dubai and his sons Sheikh Hamdan and Sheikh Maktoum.

It has previously hosted a pop-up at Jeddah Seasons in Saudi Arabia. 

The brand plans to open in London, Moscow and Miami before 2021.
