Bulldozer Group is set to launch its latest homegrown restaurant concept with the opening of Shanghai Me in DIFC in October.
It replaces the previously announced China Tang, with the planned London transplant no longer set to be opened by the group in Dubai.
Evgeny Kuzin, co-founder and managing partner of Bulldozer Group said: “Our vision is to create solid, innovative concepts designed to cater to Dubai’s cosmopolitan clientele. We are proud to introduce another home-grown concept to DIFC, in an area that houses some of the world’s most prestigious restaurant brands."
Shanghai Me will have a bar and lounge, bamboo filled terrace, and exclusive private dining area.
Designed by architect Michele Bonan, the restaurant showcases Shanghai’s history and pays tribute to Chinese and Asian traditions with art-deco detailing.
Despite the restaurant name, its menu will blend flavours from across all of East Asia, and provide lighter plates designed to cater for current health trends and dietary requirements plus more indulgent offerings.
Kuzin added: “We have taken our time to explore each and every element of the concept, in order to create a playful, energetic environment that highlights the strength of Dubai’s culinary landscape and can be exported around the world.”
