Barilla Pasta World Championship chef to serve his competition dishes at Dubai restaurant

Having reached the semi-finals of the Barilla Pasta World Championship in Paris in October, Christian Carrieri will now be serving the dishes that got him there to diners at La Strega.

The Italian restaurant at Le Royal Meridien Beach, Resort & Spa, in Dubai where Carrieri is chef de cuisine, will serve a special menu featuring two of his Pasta World Championship creations from December 5 to December 19.

The two dishes will be Carrieri’s Autumn in Paris featuring whole wheat spaghetti pasta, pumpkin cream, toasted pistachio, and crispy pecorino cheese, and Benevnuti Al Sud with rigatoni pasta stuffed with turnip top, mazara red prawns, stracciatella cheese, and trallini crumble.

Carrieri had to impress renowned Italian chefs Davide Oldani and Simone Zanoni with his dishes, and proved popular enough to reach the semi-final, so expect them to be high demand when they are on offer at La Strega
