Hakkasan Group to open Yauatcha in Saudi Arabia

Cantonese-inspired concept Yauatcha is set to open its first Middle East outlet in Saudi Arabia this year.

Global hospitality company Hakkasan Group is partnering with Al Khozama to bring the restaurant to Riyadh in February, when it will open at the newly refurbished Al Faisaliah Mall.


Grant MacPherson, senior vice president of restaurants for Hakkasan Group, said: ”Yauatcha isn’t just another Chinese restaurant – it’s blazing a trail on exemplary cuisine. We recognise that Saudi Arabia is a well-travelled nation with high expectations for unique experiences. Yauatcha really embraces the innovative, forward-thinking aspects of modern Cantonese culture and has a fresh and immersive take on fine dining, complementing Saudi Arabia’s sophisticated palate.”

The design of the restaurant will be reminiscent of its flagship London outlet, with feng shui principles guiding its aesthetic across its two floor, with the signature Yauatcha palette of blues, pinks, and greens, as well as the starry sky in the juice bar.

Customers can enjoy an all-day dim sum dining experience which is ideal for a light lunch, while an assortment of steamed, baked, grilled, or fried dim sum and larger feasts of duck, fish, and noodle dishes can be enjoyed at dinner.

It also has an in-house and standalone patisserie serving macrons, petits gateaux, and chocolates.
