The organisation behind The World’s 50 Best Restaurants is holding an auction to raise money for F&B outlets and staff affected by the coronavirus crisis.

With over 100 gastronomic experiences on offer, 50 Best for Recovery is working with some of the world’s top chefs to provide once in a lifetime opportunities.

Among the auctions on offer is a 48-hour Bangkok food and drink whirlwind with Gaggan Anand and his family that will see the winner spend two nights in the renowned chef’s family house, sampling his home-cooked food, and dining at his eponymous restaurant.

There’s also the chance to spend a day with Mauro Colagreco, chef-owner of Mirazur, voted The World’s Best Restaurant in 2019. The winning bidder will pick their own seasonal produce from the Mirazur garden before having a casual lunch with the Argentinian chef at his new organic pizzeria Pecora Negra.

Whether you want to visit Modena and dine in Massimo Bottura’s restaurants or take a three-day tour of Bilbao’s gastronomy, there are incredible lots on offer.

The Bid for Recovery auction is running until July 12, however if you don’t have the cash to burn on one of the amazing experience, you can also donate directly to the initiative and receive a digital copy of the brand-new cookbook: Home Comforts – simple lockdown recipes from the world’s best chefs and bartenders.
