Bab Al Shams Desert Resort & Spa welcomes new executive chef

Bab Al Shams Desert Resort & Spa has appointed Clive Micallef as its new executive chef, bringing almost two decades of international hospitality and restaurant experience.

Originally from Malta, Micallef has worked at well-known venues including Grosvenor House Park Lane in London, United Kingdom. His most recent role was complex executive sous chef at The Westin & Le Meridien Mina Seyahi Complex in Dubai, UAE.

In his new capacity, Micallef will be overseeing the culinary operations for the resort’s banquets, in-room dining services and outside catering in addition to eight exclusive dining venues including Arabian restaurant Al Hadheerah, Indian restaurant Masala, traditional Italian outlet Le Dune, the all-dining international restaurant Al Forsan, Al Sarab’ Rooftop Lounge, Ya Hala Lobby Lounge, and the Pool Bar.
