Italian chef Alessandro Montedoro has been appointed as executive chef at The Ritz-Carlton Abu Dhabi, Grand Canal.
Montedoro has previously worked at Marriott Rome Park Hotel, Marriot Suzhou, JW Marriott Baku, and The Ritz-Carlton, Beijing and the Rome-born chef specialises in Italian, Mediterranean, and Asian cuisine.
It’s his first posting in the UAE and Montedoro will spearhead a complete revamping of the food and beverage offerings across all eight of the hotel’s restaurants.

Montedoro has also written a book on the healing properties of food, The Curative Cuisine.
