French chef Joel Robuchon has died aged 73

Tributes have been pouring in from around the Middle East and beyond for renowned celebrity chef Joel Robuchon who has died aged 73.


Robuchon, who is the chef credited with winning the most Michelin stars in the world, died in Switzerland following a year-long battle with pancreatic cancer.


Gaggan Anand was one of a number of chefs to praise Robuchon’s talents on Instagram, saying “France loses another culinary legend this year”. Marina Social head chef Craig Best said that “the world has lost one of the greatest chefs” and executive chef at Taj Dubai Jitin Joshi called the Frenchman “a legend”.
