Having recently launched as a restaurant delivery platform, GoFood has quickly expanded into a next-day grocery service as well.
The app will now offer a wide range of everyday essentials including fresh fruits, baked goods, vegetables, dairy, meat, fish, household essentials and much more. GoFood Grocery will require a minimum AED100 order value but will offer an introductory 30% discount on all orders for the first month. There will also be a AED12 delivery fee.
Shanavas Mohamed, one of the founders of GoFood, said: “The overwhelming response we have received since launching our delivery app just over a week ago has reinforced our belief that the residents of Dubai are open to trying new things and exploring new avenues. So we thought why wait to offer our customers added convenience? A safe and fast grocery delivery service that they can rely on.”
Mohamed added that users of GoFood Grocery will be directly supporting local farms.
Naveed Dowlatshahi, CEO of GoFood, said: “The GoFood Grocery fulfilment model of not using third-parties but being the supplier ensures a seamless shopping experience where quality is never compromised. It also enables us to keep track of stocks and offer delivery within 24 hours.”
Customers using GoFood Grocery will be able to prepay online and receive contactless delivery to ensure the highest levels of hygiene are maintained across all facets of the service.
