A new environmental series shot in the UAE and focused on sustainable farming is set to launch on National Geographic Kids Abu Dhabi.
The 16-episode Arabic series Green Thumb will follow a young environmentalist as she explores different farming methords, their benefits, and applications.
It will feature agricultural guests discussing a step-by-step approach to building a farm, with the interactive show aiming to encourage children to build their own sustainable farms – including using crates as plant containers.
One of the episodes will focus on the UAE’s vertical farms, highlighting the need for hydroponic farming in the region and its benefits in terms of water consumption.
The show will begin airing on National Geographic Kids Abu Dhabi from July 14 at 4.30pm UAE time.
